Southern Gulf Islands Schools

This is a story about Eagle Boy. The video is a celebration of our learning about the Coast Salish and First Nations who have lived here a long time.
Invaluable support for this project was provided by Educational Assistant Valerie Webb, the artistry of Quentin Harris, our Aboriginal Support Worker, and the new iPads.
School District 64 will be proceeding with three new multi-age programs in September 2015. A Grade 4-8 program will be will offered on Pender and primary programming will be added at Fulford and Fernwood Elementary Schools on Salt Spring Island.
We would like to thank the many parents who have been involved in the consultative process in the development of these programs.

School District 64 is exploring the possibility of further expanding flexible learning options for students. The District currently offers a Learning Design Partners program through Phoenix Elementary School on Salt Spring Island. We are seeking expressions of interest from parents who would like to access a blended Learning Design Partners program in partnership with Fulford Elementary and the larger community. We will be scheduling a parent information meeting once the labour dispute has ended. To further explore this option for your child please contact us!
